How to choose the right coat care products?
During 35 years of work with pets, I tried almost all coat care product lines in the world, but I never found products that met my expectations. I breed 3 difficult breeds: Pomeranian Spitzes, Maltese Bichons, and Bichon Frises – all with different coat types that request special care. Of course, most brands have a few really high-end products, but to get the best results for my own dogs, I needed a complete set of premium grooming products. While I was searching for the best coat care products for my dogs, I encountered unpleasant consequences: drying fur, brittle hair, unclear formations on the skin, and allergic reactions. I realized that I cannot keep testing because my performance at dog shows was suffering because of it.

So, what should the composition be in skin and coat care products? Pet shampoos, conditioners, and masks must be as natural as possible, silicone-free, mineral oil-free, and SLS-free. These substances dry the hair, clog the pores, and do not allow the hair to breathe, so the skin and coat problems become even worse. Coat care products must be not only natural but also effective. When reading the label, look for natural ingredients, like Coco-Glucoside, which is a natural and gentle foam, honey, almond oil, herbal extracts, or essential oils, like rosemary, lavender, ylang ylang, neroli, myrrh, bergamot, rosehip, aloe vera, lemongrass – all these ingredients are pet-safe yet effective.
3-step bathing system
Creating my own coat care products was a real challenge, but I couldn’t be happier with the results. Step 3 - Fixation. When the hair is saturated and moisturized, it's time to capture the result and close the hair scales. In this step, I use conditioner or mask, which can also be mixed with effect-enhancing products, such as elixirs, coat oil, etc.
